A 43-year old Christchurch man banned from public places where children might be, was allegedly caught in a city shopping mall yesterday.
Duane Charles Brendon Paul Burgess, 43, was made subject to an extended supervision order (ESO) by the courts on May 6, 2013.
It meant that he could not "enter or loiter" on the grounds of any public library, school, park, playground, or "any other area that children under the age of 16 years old may frequent or congregate".
But Burgess, of Sydenham, appeared at Christchurch District Court today charged with entering South City Shopping Centre in Christchurch yesterday.
Defence counsel Kirsty May made no application for bail today.
