Police are still looking for a man who broke into a Christchurch home on Monday and tied up three people before driving off with money and their car.
Police have now spoken to the three victims in their 60s, including a couple visiting from China, who have told them about the traumatic experience.
A Caucasian man in his 30s and 1.8m posed as a delivery driver and forced his way inside the Patricia Pl house at about 7am.
"They were tied up for approximately three hours, and while they were not physically harmed, it was a terrifying time for them with the threat of violence present the whole time," police said.
The victims are now being supported by Victim Support, police and family members.
