City Fitness will be investigating complaints made about gym selfies at the Christchurch gym on Moorhouse Ave.
A sign had gone up this week asking gym goers not to take pictures, as people weren't happy about ending up in the background of social media posts.
However, one brave gym-goer cheekily thumbed his nose at the ban and posed in front of the banning notice.
A City Fitness spokesperson says to prohibit photos they'd need a nationwide selfie ban, which they're not prepared to do at this stage.
