Fog at Christchurch Airport disrupted dozens of flights this morning.
Airport spokeswoman Monique Oomen said 34 domestic flights were delayed or cancelled by the fog, which came in at about 9am and began to lift at midday.
A Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore bound for Christchurch was diverted to Auckland but the lifting fog has now allowed it to depart for Christchurch.
A Jetstar flight from Melbourne and an Emirates flight from Sydney have both been delayed.
Ms Oomen said affected passengers were being accommodated on other flights where possible.
The fog is lifting and planes have now begun landing, said Ms Oomen.
