Christchurch flights disrupted by thick fog

Fog shrouding Christchurch International Airport this morning has disrupted all incoming flights.

Two international flights managed to depart, but incoming flights have been delayed or cancelled, affecting hundreds of passengers.

"No flights have been landing all morning," an airport spokeswoman said.

The fog began to lift about 9.15am.

Some flights due to land in Christchurch were diverted, others cancelled and some put on hold, teh spokeswoman said.
