Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was hospitalised when they were hit by a car in Belfast, Christchurch this morning.
Sergeant Stephen McDaniel said the cyclist was knocked off his bicycle on Main North Rd at the intersection with Richall Street about 12.35am.
The cyclist has been taken to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition.
Mr McDonald said the driver of the vehicle involved is assisting police, however police would still like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
