A man injured in a crash in Canterbury has died.
Vaughan Stuart Thomas, aged 60 of Christchurch, was the sole occupant of a car that crossed the centre line on State Highway 1 near Rolleston and hit an oncoming car at about 4.15pm on Saturday, police said.
Mr Thomas was taken by ambulance to Christchurch Hospital where he died yesterday morning as a result of his injuries.
The 44-year-old driver of the other car suffered fractures and bruising. His 11-year-old daughter, who was a passenger, escaped with grazes and bruising.
Police said no charges would be laid in relation to the crash and the death has been referred to the coroner.
