Save A Burger King restaurant in Christchurch was evacuated tonight because of a small oven fire.
The business, on Lincoln Road, called the Fire Service at 7.30pm, southern communications shift manager Karl Patterson said.
However, the blaze was out by the time fire crews arrived.
The restaurant did the right thing
in evacuating their customers as a precautionary measure, Mr Patterson said.
