A restaurant has scrapped its bottomless brunch option, as police toughen up on the popular weekend activity.
Kaiser Brew Garden director Campbell Parker said before Christmas police visited multiple outlets that were advertising bottomless brunches.
Police were worried the option irresponsibly promoted alcohol - going against liquor licensing laws.
"They were concerned that there was a finite supply of food and an endless supply of alcohol," he said.
Parker said off their own back, they have introduced a "Long Lunch" providing continuous food for 90 minutes, and a cap of five drinks per person.
