New Zealand choreographer and dancer Michael Parmenter has been awarded the 2005 Creative New Zealand Choreographic Fellowship.
Worth $65,000, it is the largest choreographic fellowship in NZ.
In his 25-year career, Parmenter - who toured New Zealand with a retrospective of his work this year - has created more than 60 dance works, frequently collaborating with composers to present bold, theatrical works in a range of settings.
He plans to use the fellowship to research a new work for early 2007.
