For the second time in a week the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter has rescued people from a car stuck in the middle of a river.
The helicopter crew used a winch and rescue sling to lift two men and a woman from the roof of a car after it became stuck in the middle of the Appleby river in south Nelson this afternoon.
They carried out a similar rescue on Tuesday.
