Are you a rat, a monkey, or a pig? Or perhaps even a lucky sheep?
Monday marks the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year, when the Chinese zodiac sign will change from sheep to monkey.
The monkey is the ninth animal of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. The others are rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, chicken, dog and pig. Danny Thorn, director of Feng Shui Consultants NZ, says the new year will be lucky for those born under the sign of the sheep.
As in Western astrology, each sign is associated with certain characteristics. Simply enter your birth date into our special Herald interactive to find out which animal you are, your ideal job, your perfect partner, and which well-known names you share your sign with.
