A Chinese interpreter will be available today to take calls from anyone with information about the murder of Mt Wellington woman Xiukun Feng.
The 54-year-old Chinese woman, who is also known as Nancy, was found dead in the back seat of her husband's car on Sunday morning.
The car was in the Rata St carpark of The Warehouse in New Lynn and is believed to have been there since Saturday morning.
Although Ms Feng is married to a New Zealand man, the majority of her friends are Asian and do not speak a lot of English.
As a result, police have spent the past few days using interpreters to gather information about her final movements.
Some of the key people police have yet to speak to are staff who worked in Ms Feng's Great North Rd massage parlour, Night Pearl.
The business has been closed since Monday and police have yet to locate several of the employees.
"Nancy's job is an element of the investigation, as is anyone's job in such an inquiry," said Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton, the officer in charge of the case.
"We would encourage people who worked with Nancy to come forward as we gather information about the unlawful taking of her life," said Mr Sutton.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who saw Ms Feng on Friday night.
Yesterday, police continued talking to people in the area where Ms Feng's body was found, and searching local walkways, footpaths and waterways.
In particular, they are hoping to locate some of Ms Feng's personal items that have been missing since the murder.
They include a red handbag, gold and black watch and Samsung cellphone.
Ms Feng is believed to have been killed late on Friday night or on Saturday morning.
She died of head injuries but police will not say what kind of weapon, if any, was used.
It is not known if she died in the car or elsewhere.
