Firefighters in the wider Wellington area were kept busy today with two car accidents, including one where a vehicle carrying two small children rolled.
The children, which Paraparaumu station officer Jason Brinck estimated to be about 2 years old, were left with minor cuts and bruises from the accident at the intersection of Menin and Renown Rds.
"I think one car had failed to give way to an oncoming car and pulled out," Brinck said.
A woman and two children were in one car while an elderly woman was in another.
The car carrying three people rolled, but landed right side up, and firefighters did not need to free anyone.
