A Tauranga childcare worker has admitted dealing methamphetamine.
In the Tauranga District Court this week, Heidi Jane Richards, 38, from Gate Pa, pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of methamphetamine for supply and supplying methamphetamine.
She was arrested in January last year after police searched her home. Officers found two plastic resealable bags, one containing half a gram or five "points" of methamphetamine, and the other with 793mg of dimethylsulfone, a white powder substance used by P dealers to cut the drug.
Other drugs and a set of calibrated electronic scales which bore drug residue were also found.
Richards' cellphone contained several text messages indicating the sale and supply of methamphetamine.
Judge Thomas Ingram remanded Richards on bail for sentencing on June 27.
