SYDNEY - A convicted paedophile will be deported to New Zealand this month after serving his prison sentence in Australia.
New Zealand-born Michael John Nolan, 59, was released from jail in Sydney this week having been convicted in 2000 on five counts of intercourse with boys aged between 10-18.
The Daily Telegraph reported Nolan would be transferred to a detention centre before being deported to New Zealand next week.
"This man is not welcome in our community," Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews was quoted as saying.
