A former New Zealand school teacher is facing serious child-sex charges in Sydney.
Terrence Eldon Cresswell, 70, piano teacher, has been charged with procuring a child for unlawful sexual activity, and aggravated indecent assault with a victim who was under his authority.
Cresswell had been teaching piano in his Sydney home.
Cresswell was a student at Hutt Valley High School and went on to teach music there in the 1960s. He moved to Australia in the late 1960s.
According to the charges filed with the Sydney Local Court, Cresswell allegedly sent lewd text messages to a 14-year-old boy.
