A further 100 people in Wairarapa are now equipped with the skills to make sure children are safe in cars.
Wairarapa Road Safety Council (WRSC) hosted a clinic on Saturday at the UCol carpark in Masterton demonstrating how to install and fit child restraint seats.
WRSC Manager Bruce Pauling saidthe event was a big success.
"We had an absolutely fantastic response, there was a huge turnout.
"It was extremely busy from 10am until 3pm," Mr Pauling said.
Practical solutions were given to people passing through the clinic with 45 anchor bolts fitted for car seats and 20 vouchers given out for service at Auto Fix Masterton.
Plunket staff were on hand to offer car seat advice and make sure seats were correctly fitted.
Mr Pauling said the clinic received extremely positive feedback and he estimates over 100 vehicles passed through.
