A child understood to be injured after they were impaled on a fence in Kaukapakapa, west Auckland has been taken to hospital.
Ambulance staff were called to the address at 5.20pm.
A spokesperson for St John said the child was taken to Starship Hospital with moderate injuries.
No other information was available.
Fire and Emergency NZ also attended.
