A child has drowned in a pool at a private address in Riverhead, north-west of Auckland, this afternoon.
A police media spokesperson said police were called to the address about 4pm. They confirmed the child had drowned in a pool and police were still at the property.
A St John spokesman said they were called to a water-related incident in Riverhead at 3.49pm. Four ambulance vehicles attended but no one was transferred to hospital.
