KEY POINTS:
A group of 12- and 13-year-olds have been arrested for a spate of burglaries in Kawerau.
Police said the three boys burgled five houses in two days, stealing items including a laptop computer, DVD player and DVDs.
The alleged ringleader was a 12-year-old.
The trio have been referred to Youth Aid to undergo family group conferences.
