Chief Justice of Tonga returning to NZ

The Chief Justice of Tonga is returning home to New Zealand to become an Employment Court judge.

Anthony David Ford has been appointed to the court by Attorney-General Chris Finlayson. He was a litigation partner at Bell Gully before becoming a Judge of the Supreme Court of Tonga, then in Fiji's Court of Appeal.

He will be sworn in in September.
