Chemicals put science teacher in hospital

A schoolteacher has been taken to hospital after inhaling chemicals at Wellington High School.

Emergency services were called to the school this morning after the woman dropped chemicals on a classroom floor, a school spokesman said.

The classroom is being decontaminated by Fire Service staff and the teacher was taken to hospital, he said.
