A bitumen spill after a truck crash has closed a road near Feilding, Manawatu.
The truck, carrying at least 5700 litres of bitumen rolled on Halcombe Rd, between Feilding and Halcombe, at 8.40am.
The road is expected to be closed all day.
A Fire Service hazardous materials team is at the scene, cleaning up the bitumen and kerosene. A Horizons Regional Council pollution control team has also been called.
A police spokeswoman said no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one was injured.
