A farming supply store in Southland was evacuated this morning after a chemical spill.
A Fire Service spokesman said three staff members were told to seek medical attention after coming into close proximity with the spill at RD1 Winton, on Winton-Hedgehope Highway, but none was thought to have been badly afflicted.
The Fire Service was contacted about 10.45am to help clean up the spill and was there for about 90 minutes.
The chemical was cleared and staff allowed to return to work.
It was not immediately clear what the chemical was.
