Part of central Dunedin has been cordoned off this afternoon after a chemical spill at Speights brewery.
The spill involved 300 litres of nitric acid which was reacting with an unknown substance at the brewery on Rattray Street, Southern fire communications shift manager Jan Wills said.
Lower Rattray Street had been cordoned off and three Fire Service pumps and other specialist units were at the scene.
