Fire and ambulance have attended a chemical fire at the Ports of Auckland this afternoon which saw the wharf evacuated.
Emergency services were alerted about 2.45pm and were escorted onto the premises by security.
"The chemical involved was identified as Aluminium Phosphide," said Fire Service Shift Manager, Dallas Ramsay.
She said 20 firefighters were in attendance, along with five fire appliances.
Although no-one was injured, ambulance services remain at the scene in case they are required.
