KEY POINTS:
Drink maker Charlie's has pulled the plug on a controversial TV advertisement.
The commercial depicts a child firing a rocket at his friend's head and another child lighting a firecracker that he is holding in his mouth.
The ad features the voice of company director Marc Ellis, and has been running in the lead-up to Guy Fawkes.
Spokesman Rod Curtis says the company made the decision to withdraw the ad following a meeting with emergency services.
He says this time of the year is already a busy one for them and they do not want to make it any busier.
