Two Wellington women who staged a bare-breasted protest in Civic Square during the Prince of Wales' visit have had charges against them withdrawn.
Hana Plant, a 22-year-old artist, and Holly Summer Fenwick, a mother aged 25, had pleaded not guilty to disorderly behaviour charges.
However, police prosecutor Sergeant Gill Thomas asked the court yesterday to withdraw the charges.
The women exposed their breasts to Prince Charles on March 8.
They were protesting against colonisation and because a breast screening van had been shifted from the square for the Prince's visit.
