A 28-year-old man was now charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after the incident that occurred at about 1am today on Melville St.
Police have not confirmed how the man had fallen out of the window but a tenant, who didn't want to be named, told the Herald there was "quite a bit of alcohol and fighting involved" prior to the incident.
"There was a bit of fighting in the room, a bit of a tussle.
"They get a bit drunk and boisterous."
