Charges follow injury to baby

A woman has been charged with injuring with reckless disregard, in relation to a 4-month-baby boy who suffered critical injuries.

The 22-year-old appeared in the Manukau District Court this week and was remanded on bail.

The baby - who was admitted to the Starship hospital last Thursday - is in a stable condition.

Child, Youth and Family said the baby was known to the agency.
