A Wellington man has had a charge of disposing of a baby's body in the backyard of his suburban Wellington home withdrawn.
The Churton Park man and a woman, who both have name suppression, were charged with disposing of a child's body with intent to conceal its birth, after neighbours raised the alarm.
Police withdrew the charge against the man, who was not the father, last month. He has been granted final name suppression.
The woman admitted the offence on January 18 and is due to be sentenced on March 2.
