Global television network the Discovery Channel will soon be spreading the word about an adventure experience unique to Rotorua. A freelance television crew from Auckland were at Agroventures yesterday, talking to the creator of the Shweeb - cycle-powered pods that travel on a monorail and get up to speeds
of 55-60km/h. The adventure tourism attraction opened at the Agroventures site in November last year and has already attracted more than 10,000 visitors. That number looks set to rise after an appearance on the global network's The Daily Planet programme which will focus largely on how the Shweeb works and how it was created. The interview will go to air early next year.
