High school exam results will have "not achieved" marks for both internal and external standards from next year.
The Qualifications Authority said schools would manage entries and withdrawals for internal assessment in the same way and to the same deadline as externally assessed standards.
"The purpose of this change is to provide comprehensive information on students' strengths and weaknesses and to maintain consistency with the reporting of internal and external results," said Bali Haque of the authority.
