Chanel wins exchange

Chanel College has won its annual sports exchange against Bishop Viard College.
Two busloads of Chanel College students travelled last week to Porirua to contest the annual exchange, sports coordinator Marcus Howie said.
"The weather was fantastic in Porirua and we were greeted with a powhiri in the hall."
The morning started off with the Junior A Netball, 1st XI Boys Football and Senior Girls Hockey.
Junior A Netball ended with 23-21 to Chanel but Bishop Viard came back by winning the boys football 5-3.
The senior girls' hockey ended on an even 3-3 leaving the winning score on one all.
After that it was the Senior A Netball and 1st XV Rugby's time to shine.
And did they!
The netball team won 23-15 but then the rugby team really showed how it's done, winning its match 45-0.
Players of the day were Hollie Hawkins (hockey), Natiti Sami (rugby), Apapera Manaea (senior netball), Jahim Te Karu (junior netball) and Ben Bailey (football).
