Chanel College in Masterton is hosting an English rugby side this week.
Dauntsey School from Kent has had their under-17 rugby side touring New Zealand since mid-July and they will play Chanel's first XV at Chanel tomorrow, starting at 2.30pm.
The Dauntsey team is coached by Adrian Lewis, a former physical education teacher at Chanel.
Meanwhile, eight Wairarapa-Bush junior rugby sides travelled to Wellington on Sunday where they played matches against teams representing the Western Suburbs club.
Most games were evenly contested, especially the under-13s which drew 5-5 and the under-6s which drew 25-25,
Wairarapa-Bush had the better overall record, winning four games to two, and their players of the day were Scott Harpem (under-13s), Thomas Campbell (under-12s), Carlos Rimene (under-11s), Ryan Saunders (under-10s), Jack Wakeling (under-9s), Joshua Pepplewell (under-8s), Dean Gray (under-7s) and Benstom Renton (under-6s).
