Chances of finding tourist 'pretty grim'

The chances of finding a missing tourist on Aoraki Mt Cook are "pretty grim" as rain sets in this morning, police say.

Senior Constable Brent Swanson said there is a team of 26 searchers in the area this morning.

He said the low cloud means using a helicopter is not an option.

Kok Wong, 32, failed to catch his bus yesterday morning at 10am,

Mr Wong had indicated he wanted to visit the Red Tarns Track and The Hooker Valley.
