Replacement of the chairlift tower that ice buckled and twisted at Turoa skifield last week is ahead of schedule, says Mt Ruapehu marketing manager Mike Smith.
Mr Smith said "phenomenal support" from the manufacturing contractors meant the tower would be ready for delivery on Monday.
Three fine days are needed for installation, followed by stringent safety testing before a new operating certificate can be issued.
