The Cervical Cancer Inquiry will reveal next week the identity of laboratories which produced results similar to those from the Gisborne lab where Michael Bottrill worked.
The panel has decided to lift the suppression order after a successful appeal to the Ombudsman made under the Official Information Act, Inquiry committee leader Ailsa Duffy said.
The suppression order was made in May because the labs were not a part of the inquiry.
The results relate to detailed smear results in labs for the year ending June 1994.
Ms Duffy says there is no reason to continue the suppression order as the information will soon be public anyway.
