Some of the country's best-known names will bowl for charity this week - and members of the public are able to join them.
Radio and TV host Hayley Holt, Masterchef winner Nadia Lim and powerful model agent Sara Tetro will join representatives of the New Zealand boccia team in a fundraising effort to help the disabled players get to the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
Boccia is a sport unlike most. It is a variant of petanque and 10-pin bowling, adapted to allow disabled people to play.
NZ is a former world champion in the sport and is starting its trip to get its top eight athletes to the Rio Games. The first hurdle is the 2013 Asia and Oceania Boccia Championships in October in Sydney.
