Coach Kim Whiteman was not waxing lyrical about her Carterton New World Lynx's shock 44-35 win over previously unbeaten Harcourts in their Netball Wairarapa premier one match at the Colombo Road courts on Saturday.
Rather Whiteman simply saw it as a case of her side finally overcoming the goal-scoring woes which have haunted them through most of the season and the fact that Harcourts were missing key players such as Kelly Sargent, Katie Wyeth and Powhiri Gemmell.
"It's always nice to get a win but we won't be getting too carried away, we have to show we can keep playing at that level," Whiteman said.
For Carterton New World Lynx it was only their second win of the 2011 season.
However, with shooters Sally Newcombe and Mel Perkins and midcourter Hannah Brewer showing the way they kept the scoreboard ticking over while putting pressure on the weakened Harcourts attack.
The win by Carterton New World Lynx was just one of three interesting results in premier one play on Saturday.
Few would have expected the 36-31 win secured by Makoura College over Wairarapa College and while Pioneer Blue's 49-45 win over Celtic could hardly be rated an upset Celtic probably did start favourite there.
In other games St Matthew's Collegiate beat Baywide Gladstone 52-41 and Martinborough - also coached by Kim Whiteman - kept their top six hopes alive by defeating Trevs 47-35.
