Giants president Allan Clarke says his Hutt Valley President's grade men's softball team will need to be wary when they play Wainuiomata at South Park in a top 4 match in Masterton tomorrow.
The two teams met just two weeks ago in what was then a top 6 game with Giants winning 10-5 but Clarke says it might not be wise to read too much into that victory when analysing his team's chances tomorrow.
"They [Wainuiomata] are a good hitting side so if we are not up to scratch in the field anything could happen," Clarke said. "On paper it's fair to say we should win but there's no certainty about it."
The good news for the unbeaten Giants squad is that after a few weeks of depleted squads they are likely to be at full strength for their final dress rehearsal for the national Evergreens tournament in Hamilton next weekend.
