A fire at a 12-storey building in Takapuna on Auckland's North Shore this morning was quickly brought under control, the Fire Service says.
Seven appliances were called to the blaze at the Takapuna Tower on Como St at 8.55am.
Spokeswoman Dallas Ramsay said crews were called to the 40m by 40m 12-storey buildings after smoke was seen coming from the second storey.
Ms Ramsay said the cause of the fire is not yet known.
"There have been absolutely no reports of any injuries or ambulance required for smoke inhalation.''
