KEY POINTS:
After a month of auditions covering about 3000km, judges will this week put together a list of the country's top wannabe models.
Hundreds of young women have shown up to the New Zealand's Next Top Model auditions and around one in 10 were selected to audition for the next stage.
The candidates should know by Sunday whether they are one of the 13 finalists to appear on the TV3 reality show. Filming starts in February and the show, hosted by celebrity and model manager Sara Tetro, is expected to air later this year.
The first auditions took place in Queenstown on December 18 and the 13th round took place at the Auckland Performing Arts Centre Studio Theatre in Western Springs, Auckland, yesterday.
Other rounds will be held this week in Manukau, Whangarei and New Plymouth.
Prospective models must be between 16 and 25 years old and at least 170cm tall to qualify.
The Auckland auditions ran an hour-and-a-half over time yesterday as the three judges - Colin Mathura-Jeffree, Chris Sisarich and Andrea Plowright - saw the largest number of candidates they have seen so far. Of the 144 hopefuls, 15 were admitted to the next stage which involved modelling for a photo shoot and performing a piece to camera.
