Police and North Shore secondary school principals will meet today to discuss a party invite that has grown out of control.
The "Castor Bay Beach Party 2" event, which had more than 4200 "guests" on Facebook yesterday, has attracted attention because a party at the same spot last Saturday ended in mass disorder and vandalism.
North Shore police are refusing to discuss the party or how they expect to deal with it because of fears that publicity is fuelling the teens, many of whom have made threatening comments on Facebook.
However, police will discuss it at a meeting at Albany Senior High today.
