KEY POINTS:
Rod Petricevic shot a round of 93 at the Remuera Golf Club just hours before being declared bankrupt.
The former Bridgecorp director tried to stave off the legal proceedings for two months but was bankrupted by Judge Jeremy Doogue in the High Court at Auckland last week.
Petricevic needed to find $500,000 by Thursday evening, but instead played 18 holes at the $2200-a-year course, just a short drive from his multi-million-dollar Remuera home.
Despite Bridgecorp owing $460 million to investors, having his Porsche 911 locked up and being chased for $4.7m by creditors, Petricevic managed to shoot just 21 over par.
Since Bridgecorp was placed in receivership last July, Petricevic has been a regular at the Remuera course, his handicap falling from 34 to 21.
He has played 57 times this year: Petricevic's best score 87 at Remuera, his worst 106 at Kauri Cliffs.
Pressure seems to have little affect on the 59-year-old's game.
Just two days after the Serious Fraud Office launched an investigation into Bridgecorp in May, Petricevic scored 89.
A week later he went two strokes better, on the day after receivers took legal action to recover money paid to him in the lead-up to Bridgecorp's collapse, including a $550,000 performance bonus.
After the Herald on Sunday revealed in June that criminal charges would be laid against Petricevic and fellow director Rob Roest, he steered clear of the greens for a fortnight.
