Police have started searching in bush near Charleston, 30km from Westport, as they reopen investigations into the disappearance of a Korean man in 2003.
Jae Hyeon Kim, 25, arrived in February 2003, but has not been seen since September of that year.
He was not reported missing until May 2004.
