Carterton has been recognised by the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (NZMCA) as a Motorhome Friendly Town.
Mayor John Booth was presented with a Motorhome Friendly Town certificate and sign at Wednesday's council meeting.
The scheme ensures caravan users are provided with certain amenities and services in accredited towns.
Theorganisation's website now features information about the Carterton district to attract caravanners to the district.
There are 28 Motorhome Friendly Towns in New Zealand.
