A Carterton man has denied historical sex charges relating to young girls.
Kevin James Liddington, 59, appeared in Masterton District Court earlier this week and pleaded not guilty to two charges of unlawful sexual violation against a girl and six charges of indecent assault against a girl, aged under 12 and between 12 and 16.
The offences allegedly occurred between 1980 and 1990.
Judge Barbara Morris bailed Liddington to a temporary Masterton address until January 13, when he will be expected to provide an address outside Wairarapa.
Conditions of his bail are that he has no contact with any complainants or witnesses, or people under the age of 17 unless another adult is present.
