The family of a 65-year-old woman hospitalised after an alleged carjacking have thanked New Zealanders for helping find three teens allegedly behind the attack.
Police say Nancy Voon was beaten and dragged from her car by three girls as she waited for her son, Chee Phua, to pick something up from the Pakuranga YMCA last Wednesday.
CCTV of the alleged attack was posted on Facebook and shared hundreds of times, and today police revealed a 17-year-old woman had been arrested.
Two others, aged under 17, were also believed to be involved.
Phua today said the family were shocked at the ages of those believed to be involved.
